One year ago today the lives of many Minnesotans were impacted by the collapse of the I-35W bridge into the Mississippi River. The work on the new bridge (nearly complete) will cease from 3pm-9pm in memory of the survivors & victims of that day. A moment of silence is requested at 6:05; the exact time of the collapse.

Memorial Services are as follows:

* Basilica of St. Mary, 88 N 17th St. @ 11 am an Interfaith Prayer and Memorial Service

* Gold Medal Park, 10th Avenue South and 2nd Street South. @ 4:30pm an outdoor memorial   ceremony 
-there will be musicians and other artists performing.
-Around 5:30 pm, police, firefighters and others will lead a procession to the Stone Arch Bridge, where the names of the 13 victims will be read.
-A moment of silence will follow at 6:05 pm.
