A public park will be included in the Crescent Ponds single-family home development at Main & University in Coon Rapids. The parks amenities will include: trails, a play-structure, shelter, basketball half-court & more! The city council approves the idea but is waiting on the blessing of the commission before moving forward.

The city of Coon Rapids is hosting a summer neighborhood meeting today at Ward 3, in Kennedy Park, 8490 East River Road. Residents who live in the area are invited to have ice cream treats, meet coucil members and city staff, kids can explore a fire engine & police squad car that will be parked there. It allows time for members of the community to ask questions and comment on any concerns.

Two days after the event the Summer in the City program (LePage and Sons) is providing a free clean-up event.

Bring the whole family to Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park on August 12th at 7pm for a live perfomance from the TC Cats (50s and 60s music). The event takes place in the picnic/performance pavilion at 9750 Egret Boulevard. The concert will be held rain or shine & has fee parking and admission! The Boy Scouts will be offering concessions. Also, the Northstar Lions Club will have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and tacos available to purchase. Come early and have dinner before the show! A portion of the proceeds will help fund future Concerts in the Park!
