The company mailing out the bills goes by a few names including Deed Retrieval Services, Record Retrieval Department or the Deed Retrieval Department. The bill appears to be official but DON'T BE FOOLED! It is not from the U.S. Government & isn't a bill. The small print event states "This offer serves as a solicitation for services and not be interpreted as a bill due."

Consumers who receive questionable offers or have concerns about mailings that appear to be official or have governmental ties, are encouraged to contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB) at 1-800-646-6222.
