Sunday, January 25, 2009

On January 20th the City of St. Francis approved the sale of two city owned lots to Habitat for Humanity. The non-profit organization's mission is "To eliminate poverty housing from the Twin Cities area and to make decent, affordable shelter for all people a matter of conscience." The purchase agreement requires that construction take place in the next two and a half years. If funding is available, construction could begin this year.
