Ham Lake residents will once again be able to celebrate the Fourth of July close to home in Lions Park. The Don Hansen VFW Post will sponsor its seventh annual celebration in honor of area veterans.

Partying begins at 3:00 p.m. on the 4th with activities including games and prizes for kids as well as the opportunity to dampen the dignity of local leading citizens in the dunk tank.

Once again the VFW Men’s Auxiliary will offer their famous pork chops as well as burgers, hot dogs, mini doughnuts, and other refreshments. There will be free entertainment in the evening, as well as a fireworks display at dusk. The Ham Lake Area Chamber of Commerce made a major contribution toward financing this year’s fireworks.
