Today is a day to remember those who have risked their lives defending us and our country. Below are a few ceremonies that are happening in the area. 

Anoka's Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Anoka Veteran’s Memorial adjacent to Forest Hills Cemetery. The is guest speaker Brig. Gen. Joe Kelly, the director of the joint staff for the Minnesota National Guard. 

Minneapolis's Lakewood Cemetery hosts a veteran's ceremony at 10.30 a.m. at the Soldiers Memorial. Following the Ceremony will be guided walking tours of the cemetery, horse and carriage tours, children's art activities, historical presentations, and music. The event is free and open to all.
