Mentors Needed for Big Brothers Big Sisters
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (BBBS) is working with the Anoka-Hennepin School District to provide students at Coon Rapids and Northdale Middle with a caring, adult friend to mentor and guide them. BBBS is currently looking for volunteer mentors. In the school-based program, volunteers meet with young people for an hour once a week for focused activities, including reading, educational games, physical activity or art. This program is an excellent fit for busy professionals who may participate during the lunch hour. If you or someone you know is interested in mentoring a student in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, please call one of the BBBS at 763-231-7401.
