Anoka City has new rules for rental properties. Around 47% of Anoka's housing is rental property. Back in 2007 the city made rental licensing required and the new rules will be added to it including:

     
- Property owner notified of police calls after a second offense
- Third offense the property owner will receive notice by mails & will have to respond with a written plan.
- Fourth offense could lead to suspending the license for three months or more.
