Prisoner Flees Lino Lakes Correctional Facility
A prisoner serving a 12-year sentence for attempted second-degree murder at Minnesota Correctional Facility-Lino Lakes walked away from a minimum security unit outside of the facility's secure perimeter Saturday.
Jun William Vang, 27, fled between the 1:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. prisoner counts.
Vang was received in the state prison system in September of 1999 and has been assigned minimum-custody status since January 2006. His supervised release date was scheduled for February 2008.
Vang is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He is Asian, with many of tattoos on his chest, both arms and one on his neck
Citizens are warned not to attempt to apprehend Vang. Anyone with information about Vang’s whereabouts is asked to phone 911 or the Minnesota Department of Corrections’ Fugitive Tip Line at 651-603-0026.
