It is official. Winter is here & for those who haven't winterized their home yet, here are a few of the basics...you can still get some of them done despite the cold windchills. Stay warm!

1. Clean your gutters. 

2. Block any air leaks.

3. Add extra insulation.

4. Check the furnace.

5. Insulate & clean your ducts. 

6. Remove window screens and put up storm windows.

7. Have your chimney cleaned.

8. Reverse your ceiling fan.

9. Turn off and drain outside lines. 

10. Check your smoke detectors.
